After enjoying a lovely meal at one of our many cafes, why not stretch your legs on the walking trails along the River Angas. The trails are popular with locals and tourists, as well as some of our friendly resident ducks. There are also a number of interesting “scar trees” that reveal a snippet of the lives of the Aboriginal nations that wandered and met in the Strathalbyn district prior to European colonisation.
You can access the main trail behind the Terminus Hotel on Rankine Street, or pick up a map from the Strathalbyn Visitor Informaton Centre (former railway station) on South Terrace.
The River Angas Walkway is promoted by Walking SA.
