Heritage of Strathalbyn

Strathalbyn has many Heritage Listed buildings.
Strathalbyn has more than 30 heritage-listed buildings, including the much photographed St Andrews Church that overlooks the beautiful Soldiers Memorial Gardens.

The centrally-located Gardens are often favourably compared to the river parks of historic villages in the United Kingdom. The Gardens are also home to the Children’s Bridge and Rotunda, which are a favourite with wedding parties.
Other well-known heritage buildings include the old Angas Mill, a substantial building on Commercial Road opposite Strathalbyn’s Pool, and the former Gasworks.
