About Strathalbyn

Strathalbyn is a very popular destination for visitors from Adelaide and further afield.

It’s the gateway to the Fleurieu and a great stopping off point to explore the wineries of Langhorne Creek.

Visitors to Strathalbyn can see many fine examples of it’s rich history, with an abundance of heritage buildings dating from 1839, that are still being used today.

One of the must-do activities is to enjoy the rich history of our past in the antique stores located around High Street. You’ll find a treasure trove of antiques and collectables all within a short walking distance.

The Soldiers Memorial Gardens and the Angas River run through the centre of town, and are a perfect spot for a walk, a picnic or just to enjoy the view.
