VISIT STRATHALBYN
Find Something Fabulous.
Surrounded by rolling hills, picturesque valleys, tall gums and farming country, the charming historic town of Strathalbyn is recognised as one of South Australia’s loveliest rural destinations.

Strathalbyn is one of Australia’s prettiest towns. Settled by Scottish pioneers in 1839, it was built on both sides of the River Angas, which flows through the beautiful Soldiers Memorial Gardens.
The streets and terraces that surround the Gardens hold a wealth of historic 19th century buildings, from pubs and workplaces to grand homes and character cottages.
Come for a day or spend a few nights to explore the town and surrounding areas. Dine in on good food or enjoy a picnic in the park. Visit the superb local wineries. Browse through the antique and speciality shops. Take a leisurely walk or book a carriage ride or helicopter flight.
Strathalbyn is only a 45-minute drive from Adelaide.
